🤖 China Launches $1,400 “Family-Friendly” Humanoid Robot — Meet Bumi
A new wave in affordable robotics is here — a Chinese startup, Noetix, has unveiled a child-sized humanoid robot named Bumi, priced at just US$1,400. Standing 94cm tall and weighing 12kg, Bumi is being marketed as a “family-friendly” personal assistant designed for education, companionship, and light household interactions.
The presale for Bumi launched this week at 9,988 yuan, making it one of the cheapest humanoid robots ever released. China’s robotics race continues to heat up — following Unitree Robotics’ R1 launch in July, priced at 39,999 yuan (around US$5,500), roughly 60% less than its previous G1 model.
